Were trying to fish in Pasvik river, only to get stuck at the bottom again and again. On the 7th ”last throw” the pictured pike decided to eat the Lotto and was hooked. I remembered that I had forgot to put on the metal-extension at the end of the line just as the pike attacked. This made the reeling quite risky.
I yanked it out of the water when the pike was close to shore, just as the line snapped. I then had to give it a proper free-kick when it tried to escape with my Lotto. Fish weighed at 4.5 kilos, turned in to pike cakes by now!
